To accommodate finer knots, thinner yarns and elevated material precision are required — enabling sharper detailing, refined texture and exceptional visual clarity.
Higher KPSI qualities demand significantly more loom time, often extending from five to twelve months depending on the intricacy of the composition.
KPSI is expressed as vertical knots × horizontal knots — for example, 8×8 is pronounced “eight eight” quality.
